This September, Inovia Vein Specialty Centers had the incredible opportunity to participate in Costco Safety Week, connecting with hard-working employees at locations in Wilsonville, Tigard, and Vancouver, WA. Our team was thrilled to provide education on leg health, venous insufficiency, and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) to Costco’s vibrant and dedicated workforce.
Leg Health Education on the Frontlines
Our providers were on-site to connect with employees and offer practical guidance on maintaining healthy veins. At Wilsonville, Dr. Jason Gilster and Vicky Nguyen, NP engaged with staff. Dr. Ralph Delius served the Tigard location, while Dr. Lauren Wikholm and Chelsi Rayford, PA-C represented Inovia Vein at NE 84th St in Vancouver, WA.
People who spend long hours on their feet are at higher risk of developing venous insufficiency, a vein condition where weakened valves allow blood to pool in their legs. Over time, this can cause aching, swelling, heaviness, varicose veins, and spider veins. Our team emphasized the importance of recognizing early signs of vein disease, the role of compression stockings in managing symptoms, and proactive steps people can take to support better leg health and DVT prevention.
