Dr. Ralph Delius, M.D., and Jessica Baele, PA-C, recently hosted an open house at the Inovia Vein Specialty Centers Tanasbourne clinic, inviting local healthcare providers across specialties to gather for an evening of connection, collaboration, and education. The event created an opportunity for providers to engage in meaningful discussions about vein health, share insights, and strengthen partnerships that enhance patient care across the community.
About Dr. Ralph Delius, M.D. – Vein and Venous Disease Specialist
Dr. Delius is a cardiac and thoracic surgeon who now focuses exclusively on the diagnosis and treatment of venous disorders. With over three decades of surgical experience and academic leadership, he brings exceptional expertise to patients with:
• Varicose veins
• Leg swelling
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Lymphedema
• Venous leg ulcers
He is deeply committed to collaboration and takes pride in building strong relationships with local providers. “It’s always valuable to meet the providers and teams we partner with in patient care,” Dr. Delius shared. His extensive background in lymphedema and lipedema care – two conditions often misunderstood or misdiagnosed – has made him a trusted resource for both patients and providers seeking accurate evaluation and advanced treatment.
About Jessica Baele, PA-C – Compassionate Vein Care
Jessica Baele, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Associate specializing in:
• Venous insufficiency
• Spider veins
• Sclerotherapy
• DVT
• Venous stasis ulcers
• Lymphedema
She plays a key role in Inovia Vein’s same-day DVT rule-out service, ensuring patients receive prompt and accurate evaluation when DVT is suspected.
Jessica’s compassion and attention to detail were evident as she connected with people during the open house, sharing how early detection and access to quality vein care can make all the difference for patients in need. Her husband, Connor, was also there to support her and the practice – it was wonderful to have them there together.
Advancing Awareness: World Thrombosis Day and the Importance of Early Detection
Each year on October 13, healthcare providers and communities worldwide observe World Thrombosis Day – a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and related conditions.
At Inovia Vein Specialty Centers, our mission is to raise awareness, lower barriers to education, and improve access to early detection and treatment of this potentially life threatening but preventable condition.
To support these efforts, Inovia Vein clinics offer DVT rule-outs Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00–5:00 p.m., at all six of our accredited vascular labs across Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Prompt DVT Evaluations – Peace of Mind Through Same-Day Access
With on site ultrasound technology, our specialists can evaluate and diagnose DVT quickly and accurately, often within the same day. This immediate access helps prevent complications, reduce anxiety, and ensure patients begin appropriate treatment without delay.
If you have a patient who needs a DVT evaluation, please call our team directly at 1-800-VEIN-DOC during clinic hours for assistance.
Partnering with Providers for Better Vein Health
Inovia Vein is committed to partnering with providers to improve early recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of venous disease. By collaborating closely, we can identify venous insufficiency and DVT earlier – helping patients receive timely care and better outcomes.
We also work together with expert wound care centers and other specialists across the region to ensure seamless, coordinated care for shared patients.
Community Education and Prevention Efforts
Education remains the foundation of prevention at Inovia Vein Specialty Centers. Through outreach and professional partnerships, we aim to empower both patients and providers with accurate, accessible information:
• Provider Education & Collaboration: We host and participate in educational sessions to enhance awareness and treatment strategies for venous disease and DVT.
• Community Outreach: Our team participates in health fairs, markets, and local events to raise awareness about leg health and early intervention.
• Patient Resources: Our website and clinics provide comprehensive resources, including our DVT Awareness Page at InoviaVein.com/DVT, brochures, and patient education materials.
