Our teams at Inovia Vein Specialty Centers have built a reputation for outstanding, accessible care for patients with varicose veins & venous disorders. But did you know that we also offer priority same-day evaluations & treatment plans for DVT?
The Need for DVT Evaluations
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) can become life threatening when left untreated. But when detected early and properly treated, the risk of complications is greatly reduced.
In most scenarios, patients with common DVT symptoms are referred to hospital Emergency Rooms (ERs), where they can wait for hours and end up with hefty, unexpected medical bills. From there, patients are often prescribed an anticoagulant, then recommended for compression stockings and future follow-up visits – commonly with a vascular specialist.
We developed the Inovia “Test to Treat” system as a convenient solution for both patients and their medical providers, where we can tackle the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of DVT symptoms all in one place – typically with lower wait times AND costs.
How to Schedule a Same-Day DVT Evaluation
The process of diagnosing DVT in the Inovia offices takes approximately 60 minutes. We reserve appointments for DVT evaluations daily, but ask that patients and providers call ahead to minimize any potential wait times.
If you are in Oregon – to schedule a same-day DVT evaluation, please call 1-800-VEIN-DOC.
When NOT to Seek a Same-Day DVT Evaluation in the Outpatient Office Setting
Most patients can benefit from the efficient care offered by Inovia’s Test to Treat DVT evaluations in our convenient out patient office setting. However, those that are experiencing symptoms of pulmonary embolism – a complication of DVT – should still seek immediate medical attention at an emergency room or by calling 911:
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain
- Cough that produces bloody phlegm
- Feeling faint or an aching heart rate
