On June 10, 2025, Inovia Vein Specialty Centers proudly participated in the “For the Health of It!” Health & Wellness Fair – a free, community-focused event hosted at the scenic Larkspur Community Center, home of the Bend Senior Center. The fair brought together local healthcare providers and residents to promote preventive care, healthy living, and vascular wellness.
Pre-Fair Education: Lunch & Learn with Dr. Andrew Jones
Leading up to the fair, Dr. Andrew Jones, Medical Director at Inovia Vein, hosted a Lunch & Learn session at the Larkspur Community Center. His presentation focused on Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) – a serious condition that can lead to life-threatening complications if left untreated.
Dr. Jones covered:
• Common signs and symptoms of DVT
• Risk reduction strategies
• Treatment options for optimal vascular health
He also discussed Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI), a condition where damaged leg veins struggle to return blood to the heart. Symptoms include:
• Leg pain and fatigue
• Ankle swelling
• Bulging varicose veins
Dr. Jones emphasized the benefits of compression stockings to improve circulation and support mobility – especially for active seniors and those managing chronic vein conditions.
