On July 31, 2025, Inovia Vein Specialty Centers continued its partnership with the East Vancouver Farmer’s Market for the second consecutive year. Dr. Lauren Wikholm, Chelsi Rayford, PA-C, and members of our Vancouver team came ready to connect with marketgoers and raise awareness about leg health – particularly deep vein thrombosis (DVT), also known as blood clots.
Many people are unaware that up to 40% of adults experience vein-related issues that are both common and treatable. Our presence at the market provided an opportunity to share valuable, accessible vein health education with the community in a welcoming and approachable environment.
Engaging Conversations and Trusted Connections
Throughout the day, our team spoke with individuals of all ages and activity levels, many of whom shared concerns about persistent leg discomfort. Symptoms such as aching legs, swelling in the feet and ankles, heaviness or fatigue, and bulging veins under the skin are more common than most realize – and may be related to chronic venous insufficiency.
Fortunately, these conditions are often treatable. With expert evaluation, many people benefit from conservative, non-surgical therapies or minimally invasive vein procedures performed in an outpatient setting. Our friendly and knowledgeable team was on hand to answer questions and provide vein care resources that some individuals may not otherwise have access to. Several attendees expressed gratitude for receiving trusted information and connecting with our compassionate care team.
A Continued Commitment to Outreach
