Raising Awareness for Women’s Health Month at the Bend Health Fair

May was Women’s Health Month, a time where we highlighted the unique health concerns women face—especially related to vein health. Inovia Vein Specialty Centers proudly supported this initiative by participating in the Bend Health Fair on May 10, 2025, at the Deschutes County Expo Center in Redmond, OR.

A Timely Opportunity for Community Engagement

The health fair brought together hundreds of attendees from across Central Oregon and the Portland metro area, many visiting for Mother’s Day weekend. The timing was ideal for engaging the public on the importance of vein health in women, emphasizing that symptoms like leg aching, swelling, and varicose veins are not just cosmetic but often signs of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).

Education & Connection

Our Inovia team connected with nearly 500 individuals, providing resources and answering questions about vein conditions, symptoms, and treatments. From first-time visitors to patients who have completed care, we saw firsthand how access to education and support can make a real impact.

Focus on Prevention

We distributed helpful materials on deep vein thrombosis (DVT)—its risks, warning signs, and prevention. We also demonstrated how to properly fit compression stockings, emphasizing how accurate sizing leads to better outcomes.
