This is 54 year old male with severe stasis dermatitis and ankle discoloration due to long standing varicose veins. Over time, this can lead to inflammation of the skin and ultimately breakdown of that skin to form a venous stasis ulcer. He underwent Closurefast RFA of his greater saphenous vein (GSV) with sclerotherapy. After the procedure, the veins faded away and the skin healed considerably. He reported that the severe itching he had by the ankle had gone away as well.
