Background
Toshio Nagamoto, MD is a board-certified general surgeon and experienced vein specialist with expertise in venous insufficiency, varicose veins, spider veins, DVT and venous ulcers.
Over the span of 30 plus years, Dr. Nagamoto has developed extensive expertise in general surgery, trauma, vascular surgery and robotic surgery. He was also heavily involved in the training of young surgeons and became the first program director in general surgery in the Mid Valley.
Dr. Nagamoto joined the Inovia Vein Specialty Centers in Fall 2023 and performs office-based, minimally invasive vein procedures at our NW Portland clinic.
Dr. Nagamoto was raised in California, where he attended University of California Los Angeles to earn his BA in biology. Afterward, he received his MD at Creighton University Medical School and, after medical school, Dr. Nagamoto completed his residency training in general surgery at the University of Illinois. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
He lives in Northwest Portland with his wife and enjoys spending time outdoors, eating, exercising, and listening to their daughter play her violin who performs for Eugene Symphony.
