INOVIA® Vein Specialty Clinic pleased to see the results of the VeCLOSE trial published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery.
The study, entitled, Randomized trial comparing cyanoacrylate embolization and radiofrequency ablation for incompetent great saphenous veins (VeClose). The study suggests the cyanoacrylate glue performs as well as radiofrequency ablation, with less bruising and no need for the injection of tumescent anesthesia.
Along with some of the top vein treatment centers in the country, we were an enrolling site in this trial. We are excited to see the results presented in this well regarded medical journal. Also, congratulations to our own Dr. Andrew Jones, who presented this data in part at the recent American College of Phlebology conference.
This product is currently under consideration for FDA approval. It’s great to see new and helpful technologies coming down the pipeline to help vein procedures in the future.
